The Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged the APC Candidate for Delta State Governorship election in 2023 with 1190 votes.
He emerged the flagbearer in a lone contest which took place at the the Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba on Monday 26th May, 2022.
In an interview, Omo-Agege asked Deltans to chase away the Egyptians whom according to him had plundered the state’s economy, leaving the people in abject poverty, high level of unemployment and infrastructural decay.
He promised to turn around the fortunes of the State if voted into office in 2023, adding that he had left Deltans to make critical decision of their choice between him and the emerged PDP candidate.
At the Primary Election, prominent APC faithful like the Minister of State for Labour, Mr. Festus Keyamo, Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, NIMASA, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, former Executive Director, Projects, NDDC, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, former APC Senatorial Aspirant for Delta North, Mrs. Mariam Alli and others were conspicuously missing from the event.
